This piece features a corn kernel — that curious little thing that always seems to leave a trace in the bathroom. The outer layer of corn can’t actually be digested by the human body, which is why it appears to come out “whole,” even though it’s really just the shell filled with… well, something else. The phrase “You know who I am” is a humorous nod to that universal moment of confusion we’ve all had: What is a corn kernel doing in the toilet?
