Artwork Description

Through collage, I compare photographs my family took in the houses we built together with magazine images, and point out how reality attempts to match what is understood as the "ideal home." The decorative gestures attempt to resemble these images, but some moments of disorder, the effect of an authentic dwelling, break with the pristine and artificial feeling of advertising images, generating a dialogue between the experience of inhabiting a place, our expectations of it, and the individual memento.
