Georgia Eugenia Durán nació en Monterrey, México, ciudad en la que aún reside. En el 2014 tomó por primera vez un curso de tejido en telar. Esto fue el comienzo de una exploración artística y de técnica. Georgia ha participado en proyectos y exposiciones colectivas en espacios como el Museo del Centenario en San Pedro Garza García, Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima, Taller 3120, Yo Estudio, La Cresta, guadalajara90210 y ferias de arte como FAMA. De manera individual ha presentado su trabajo en Galeria Casa Gotxikoa y en Centro Cultural Plaza Fátima, ambos en San Pedro Garza Garcia. El trabajo de Georgia es principalmente con textil y se enfoca en lo doméstico, su relación con el espacio que habita, los rituales y las memorias.

Georgia Eugenia Durán was born in Monterrey México, where she still resides. In 2014 she took her first weaving class and began her artistic and technical exploration of the médium. She continued her weaving education with many other teachers in several countries while exploring the possibilities of the médium on her own. Recently her work explores embroidery and quilting techniques.

Georgia has participated in group shows in spaces such as Museo del Centenario en San Pedro Garza García, Centro Cultural Plaza Fatima, Taller 3120, Yo Estudio, La Cresta, guadalajara90210 as well as art fairs like FAMA. Her solo shows include Galeria Casa Gotxikoa and Centro Cultural Plaza Fátima, both in San Pedro Garza Garcia.
